The episode begins with Sebastian visiting Maya and promptly dispensing with her. Laurel gets wind of Maya’s death, but her boss at the DA office doesn’t believe her theory that Sebastian is responsible. Quentin puts a desperate Laurel in contact with Arrow. She tells him that she has linked Sebastian Blood and Cyrus to the death of Max Stanton, and that Sebastian killed his mother. Meanwhile, Roy confides to Sin that the night of Max’s death, he was injected with the same thing Max was, but it only made him stronger. Now he wants to try some vigilante work of his own. Arrow needs to access Sebastian’s father’s murder but the file is stored in the city archives. Laurel helps him bust into the archives, but they’re too late; the file has already been taken.
Roy decides to go after a prostitute killer for his first mission, with the help of Sin, who he dresses up like a Thanksgiving turkey and puts to the streets. Things go badly wrong when Roy almost beats the killer to death in a rage blackout. Sebastian goes to see Slade, who is angry with him for almost getting them caught by Arrow. Slade gives Sebastian a bracing warning to clear up after himself. Blood sends Officer Daily to Laurel’s house and Daily arrests her for being in possession of a controlled substance. Even Quentin doesn’t believe that she’s been framed by Blood.
Later, Oliver goes to see Laurel at home and whilst he’s there the man in the skull mask kidnaps Laurel. Arrow follows them, fighting and killing skull mask, who is revealed as … Officer Daily. The possession charges against Laurel are dropped, but she’s out of a job, and has lost all credibility with Oliver. He doesn’t believe Sebastian is guilty, but Sebastian isn’t out of the woods yet. Sebastian goes to see Slade again, who administers some rough justice with a samurai sword, killing Sebastian’s bodyguards. Meanwhile, Arrow goes to warn Roy that the serum is warping his mind, and to offer to teach him to control his powers. Does Roy have what it takes to become a true hero? Nevermind his powers, can he learn to control his facial muscles to get rid of that perpetual scowl? Tune in next week to find out.
