Beauty and the Beast S02E15 “Catch Me if You Can”

Beauty and the Beast image

The episode begins with Vincent doing some serious illegal surveillance to find Sam before he turns anyone else into a beast.  He’s really trying to prove to Catherine that he’s more man than beast so he’s not resorting to using his powers to detect Sam.  Catherine’s looking for Sam too, but she’s doing it so there’s one less beast on the streets – she doesn’t want to be reminded with Vincent.  JT convinces Vincent that the only effective way to find him is by using his powers.  Catherine is at Gabe’s place; Gabe is trying to build a case against Sam too, but the best he currently has him on is stealing Tony Barnes’ identity.  Just as they are in the middle of discussing the case, he he tries to give Catherine a key (this being a super romantic moment) but she is freaked out.  Then she gets a call from JT saying that Vincent has Sam.  Sam is now bating Vincent, saying that he’s partially responsible for Tory’s death and Vincent has Sam in a strangle hold just as Gabe and Catherine pitch up.  Point one to Gabe.  Now Gabe and Catherine are all pissed that Vincent has caught Sam by beastly means.  Sam reveals that he has his next beast candidate, Xavier, chained up and ready to be tenderized.  They’d better let Sam go before Xavier dies of thirst.  Gabe tells Vincent all he can do is release Sam.  When Sam gets home it turns out he’s already started transitioning Xavier, his plan is to set Xavier on Vincent when Vincent comes to save him.  Meanwhile, Gabe goes to warn Vincent off Catherine, telling him that Catherine needs normality now not somebody who’s about to beast out at a moment’s notice.  Vincent reluctantly agrees, but JT gives him a pep talk that all he needs to do is find a good balance between man and beast.  Later, Catherine goes out hunting Sam and runs into Vincent on the same mission(Literally.  She almost runs him over in her car).  The two join forces and figure out that Xavier is a trap.  Unfortunately this happens whilst they are flipping Catherine’s car.  As the fire service is cutting them out, Gabe calls them to tell them that Sam has rented an office in the neighborhood – an ex CIA office.   The circle is closing and they trail Xavier to the location.  While Catherine holds Sam upstairs, Vincent goes after Xavier in the basement.  Sam has wired the place with a bomb though and blows the whole place up.  Vincent manages to save Xavier’s life and Catherine comes downstairs and gets all gooey eyed that Vincent could have died, which unfortunately Gabe sees.  Gabe arrests Sam, now on terrorism charges, but he has stolen a USB from the CIA office with names on it of people he thinks are responsible for his son’s death.  Gabe is still sulking about the moment between Vincent and Catherine, and he tells Catherine that she needs to reiterate the message that she doesn’t belong to him anymore.  Meanwhile, Xavier wakes up and isn’t a beast any longer.  It’s a miracle!  JT tells Vincent he did a good job being both man and beast, and didn’t need to try to impress Catherine.  Catherine goes to see Vincent later to tell him she can’t see him anymore but they end up kissing.  Oops.  Who is Catherine going to choose?  And is she ever going to be able to get car insurance again?  Tune in next week to find out!
