The movie adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog is currently in development with a darker and edgier version on the horizon. There will be a mix of live-action and animation, skewing toward older audiences. Hopeful writers to helm the project include Brad Bird of the Icredibles and Wernick & Reese of Monsters Inc. Definitely a film worth checking out, especially if you played the original game on Sega!
