This series has been on everyone’s radar since its trailer was first released due to its inspired novel and cast members. An upcoming American mystery drama series set to release through Amazon Prime Video, Harlan Coben’s Shelter is a series that follows the story of Mickey Bolitar, a teen who starts a new life in Kasselton, New Jersey. With his mother in rehab and his father dead as a doornail, an interesting aunt, and a whole new school, things have taken a strange turn for Mickey. When he becomes entangled with the mysterious disappearance of Ashley Kent and is told that his father may not be dead, Mickey discovers that something darker is in play within this strange, quiet community.

The writer involved with the series is Harlan Coben, a writer of mystery novels and thrillers and the original author of Shelter. The first big in a trilogy, the series stars the nephew of Coben’s protagonist Myron Bolitar, Mickey, and features a similar synopsis in the series: Mickey’s new girlfriend, Ashley Kent, suddenly vanishes, and after receiving no help from his teachers and administrators, he turns to his friends for help. The story follows the same storyline of Mickey’s family, with his mother in rehab, the strange lady that claims that Mickey’s father is dead, and the characters remaining the same with a few possible changes in the series. Whether this series serve as a faithful adaptation of the novels is still unknown. For those curious about Coben’s works, check out his website at: https://www.harlancoben.com/.

Next, we have Abby Corrigan! Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Abby’s family has deep roots with companies such as the Charlotte Shakespeare Company and more. Abby has been involved in shows such as Banshee as Patia, Castle Rock as Chance, Homeland as Rebecca Morrison, Rectify as Claire, and other shows and films.

Lastly, we have Adrian Greensmith. A young and aspiring actor, Adrian has made a name for himself as Hunter from Metal Lords and will star as Arthur in Harlan Coben’s Shelter.

We first asked the three about their close relationship with each other and how they established this closeness together on-screen. Adrian answered that it was through brute force, which caused the other two to laugh at his response, to which Jaden did agree that it had happened. The two mentioned how the producers locked them all in a room with crackers, and the three laughed even more about that time. Abby answered that many meetings and calls initiated their first meetings, especially during the pilot. The calls mainly consisted of them and the director, and Adrian mentioned going out to lunches and dinners with each other. Jaden jumped in laughing that there were some attempted dinners too, and Abby talked about their conversations about music, to which Jaden had added that they all made large playlists. Jaden’s playlists mainly focused on his character Mickey and his love interest, another he made that focused on him, Abby, and Adrian, and another playlist he created based on the entire cast that others added their music.
