American Idol S13e3&4

American Idol started the week in Detroit as real contenders began to stand out. An early voice to be recognized is Keri Lynn, a quirky waitress who sings Imagine Dragons‘ “Radioactive.” Keith asks for a song without her guitar and she goes onto croon Etta James‘ “I’d Rather Go Blind.” Another 39 tickets were given in Detroit before the show moved to another state.

In Georgia, auditions have been promising in the past. Winner Phillip Phillips came from the Atlanta auditions in 2012 and this year’s talent could be just as exciting.  Majesty, a total front-runner, gave a beautiful yet haunting version of Coldplay’s “Violet Hill.” The understated tones in her voice along with her acoustic guitar proved to wow the judges. J-Lo commented, “Beautiful and effortless.” Auditions are back next week as hopefuls continue to wow and amaze!
