American Idol, S13E5&6

The auditions continued this week in Salt Lake City and Omaha. The producers were extra kind in the earlier part of this week and showed almost all of the footage from the “yes” auditions. The amazing singers are what the fans truly want to hear! Salt Lake started with a bang featuring Austin Wolfe, 16, and her perfect pitch. Singing Radiohead, Austin garnered praise from Harry Connick Jr., claiming “she’s great.” Other hopefuls that have a chance at the finals were Laurel Wright and Blake Branscom.

Talent in Omaha wasn’t as prevalent and it seems unlikely a winner will be found in this city. Past winner David Cook might stand alone with his roots in Omaha. One performance that did pop out was Paula Hunt, who sang Etta James’ All I Could Do Was Cry. The judges responded enthusiastically and Paula will join the rest of the talent in Hollywood.
