Beauty and the Beast, S02E09 “Don’t Die On Me”

Beauty and the Beast is back! The winter premiere was last night, and kicked off with an episode entitled “Don’t Die On Me.” We picked up the morning after where we left off. Cat gave her report to FBI Internal Affairs to one Special Agent Hendricks. She neglected to mention Vincent in any way, naturally. After, Gabe reassured her she wouldn’t be caught. Cat continued to focus on the fact that she felt responsible, still and also that Vincent hadn’t chosen them. Back to Vincent – he needed medical attention, more than he was able to give himself, but didn’t want to risk exposing himself. Tori suggested amnesia as a cover story. Cat stops by to visit Vincent, and Tori is none to happy about it. When she voiced her opinion, Vincent said he wasn’t her problem anymore. In the middle of all this, Hendricks tells Cat they need to talk again, in the interrogation room. Drama. Vincent and Tori go to JT for help, against Vincent’s protestations. Vincent still refused to go to the hospital, so JT decided to attempt to steal medical supplies and blood. While Vincent and JT were talking out the plan, Tori got a call from Laura Scott, a lawyer at the law firm representing her father’s estate. Tori needed to sign some papers immediately if she wanted to keep her father’s secrets secret. Back with Cat, Hendricks pushed and prodded but she stood by her story. We learned that a bullet with blood on it was found at the scene. The bullet was standard police-issue. Cat was suspended and forced to surrender her gun and badge. Gabe offered to help Cat out by “making the bullet disappear” but she still wasn’t biting. She conceded with an eventual
“maybe drinks.” Will Gabe ever learn? Tess came up in the middle of this conversation to tell Cat that JT was caught stealing at the hospital. She picked him up and lectured him about helping Vincent at the expense of his own safety. Tori met with the lawyer who informed her that her father owned an antiques store, despite not caring about antiques. Mysterious. Cat checked in on Vincent who flat out refused to go to the hospital. Tori walked in and Vincent was eager to go check out the store. Cat shot Vincent with a tranq gun and the ladies left. At the antiques store, Tori questions why Cat is still helping Vincent. While they’re looking around, Laura and some thugs come in and force Tori to look into a retina scan on the wall to find out what her father was hiding. After, they force Cat into a crawlspace at gunpoint. Vincent showed up to save Tori, then let Cat out. Once freed, Cat called 911 and told them Vincent saved her. This allows an excuse for the gunshot wound and gets Cat cleared – with a little help from Gabe who switched the bullets.  The results came back inconclusive. Hopefully now everyone can be a little more honest going forward. We ended with Vincent waking up in the hospital with Tori at his side. When he was checked in, the police took fingerprints, so it’s only a matter of time before things start to really unravel for poor Vincent. As a result, Vincent started to get in front of it and we ended at the beginning of a press conference, presumably one where Vincent was going to come clean. Do you think that Vincent is going to tell the truth? What do you think Tori’s father is hiding? What about Cat and Vincent? Tune into the next BATB to find out!
