Having so much fun at summer camp that you never want to leave?! This plot is brought to life in the new comedy film Tiny Fugitives, out in theaters September 18th. We chatted exclusively with actors Benjamin Pajak, Aaron D. Harris, and Isa Bernal Steiner to learn more about their experience working with the legendary Johnny Knoxville and their favorite moments on set.
Tiny Fugitives follows a reckless, fiercely determined group of twelve-year-olds who hatch a chaotic plot to escape reality and spend the rest of their lives at Sleepaway Camp. Johnny Knoxville plays Bob, the camp counselor who tries to stop them, and Benjamin plays Jacob, Isa plays Tali, and Aaron plays Charness.
Isa: “It was very cool to get into Tali’s character.”
Benjamin, Aaron and Isa said the camp setup on set was so fun, and it really felt like they were actually at sleepaway camp! In their downtime, they spent a lot of time doing actual camp activities, and Benjamin revealed he crocheted for the entire cast!
Aaron:“When you’re in such an incredible environment such as this set, you really do get into it.”
Aaron joked that he learned a lot of new profanity words on set, but it was so special to work with Johnny Knoxville and he learned a lot of acting tips from him.
Benjamin: “I learned that all of us are funny.”
As young rising stars, the trio also gave great advice on giving it your all during scenes and the best tips and tricks for learning lines.
