The episode starts with Zoe once again being a huge cling-on to Drew. Honestly, this chick is like velcro. Dallas is still in Drew’s ear that he should break up with Zoe, and Drew tries, citing his burgeoning political career. She doesn’t quite get the message. Meanwhile, Imogen realizes she has unintentionally started a movement when she comes into school and sees girls there with banners reading ‘Bra rules are for fools’. Mr Simpson admits that it was wrong to send Imogen out of class for not wearing a bra and asks her help with the dress code. Imogen asks the other girls around school what they want to dress like and is surprised when they say they’d like a more slutty dress code; after all, what are clothes for if not to snag a boyfriend?
Drew finally gets the message through to Zoe, who is furious and tells her mom, Miss Rivas, that Drew had sex with her. Ms Rivas goes to tear strips off Drew – right in the middle of a speech he’s giving in front of Mr Hollingsworth and an auditorium full of people. Drew is pulled into the principal’s office and narrowly misses being arrested for statutory rape. Imogen decides that Degrassi’s dress code should be predicated on intention. She thinks ‘Respect yourselves and each other’ is a pretty good rule of thumb, and she manages to get Mr Simpson on board.
Mr Hollingsworth decides not to fire Drew but that doesn’t stop Drew’s mom from reaming him out – bigtime. He buys Zoe some flowers, but she tells him that’s not good enough when people are calling her a slut at school. Dallas replaces Jenna as Alli’s lab assistant, and decides he has developed feelings for her. Later, Drew’s mom overhears him as he is lamenting to Dallas what he wishes he could say to Zoe to apologize, and decides he’s not such a bad kid after all. Is Dallas going to tell Alli how he feels? And what’s next for Zoe now she’s persona non grata at school? Tune in next week to find out.
