Degrassi Recap

Degrassi imageSchools out for summer at Degrassi! When better to head to France with your crew and French Teacher. Say oui! to new experiences, dear Degrassians.

In somewhat of a stretch (isn’t French a mandatory part of public high school curriculums in Canada?) Alli fails to understand the complicated directions offered by a French stranger, who suggests she get on the subway. Never fear, however, as Alli is saved by a new cutie with a smartphone….it’s not a white horse but hey she’ll take it. New love interest alert!

As Tristan embraces Maya as his fake-gf to improve relations with his roommates, Alli, Zoe, Miles and the rest of the new kids enjoy scampering around gay paree.

In a sweet but slightly weird turn of events, Ali makes a paper Clare so that she can be in the photos while she remains at home undergoing intensive cancer treatments back home. It’s the thought that counts.

At home, Clare undergoes an MRI to see if the cancer has spread. As her hair starts falling out and she begins to doubt whether Eli will stick it out with her, she joins a cancer patient support group. Eli says he’s all in—but the road may get rougher. Is he ready for that? That’s what some of Clare’s new friends warn her about.

Concerned, Clare turns to Adam for support. Tired of being seen as a cancer patient, Clare shaves her head and goes for the wigs. She finds small comfort in taking some control over the situation. Eli seems committed, as he reassures Clare about how much he loves the new look.

Will he stay? Will he go? What will happen to the group in Paris? We’ll have to wait and see.
