We Facetimed exclusively with Ellie O’Brien, who stars as Grace in the hit show to talk Team Alex or Team Cole, Jackie and Grace’s friendship, and what she is most excited for viewers to see in season 3.
Season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys will follow the aftermath of the season 2 cliffhanger, as each character goes through major life changes. Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, Ashby Gentry, and the rest of the cast are all returning.
“I never thought I’d be sitting here engaged in this project four years later.”
Ellie has played Grace since season 1 of the show, serving as Jackie’s closest confidante, helping her to navigate drama in Silver Falls. Ellie said when she first picked up the script for Grace, she just had a feeling that this was a character for her.
“Grace does go through a lot of changes in the third season.”
Ellie and Nikki, who plays Jackie, have developed a great bond off set that mirrors their characters, and especially bonded while filming with their fun coffee orders.
“Nicki works so hard and is really dedicated to the work.”
Viewers should get excited for this season as Ellie teases that Jackie will grow a lot this season, feeling very empowered and finally being able to think clearly about what her heart wants. Grace will even go through a lot of changes herself in season 3, especially in relation to her friendship with Jackie and her relationship with her mom.
“This season, Jackie does a lot of growing and thinking about what she wants.”
Ellie says she loves how season 3 will focus on a lot of the friendship dynamics, especially female friendships, as characters learn the importance of growing and finding ways to have fun even amid all of life’s pressures.
“I am so excited for audiences to learn a thing or two from season 3 that they can take into their own lives.”
