*WARNING: This interview contains spoilers from The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 and Superman

Summer 2025 has fed us with so many great shows and movies already, including the new Jurassic World Rebirth film, starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey, in addition to The Summer I Turned Pretty star David Iacono, who we got to chat with at the Jurassic press junket. Mordechai is obsessed with Prime Video’s We Were Liars and the Pixar film Elio

Daniella: “David Iacono is so kind and so soft spoken… We loved the behind the scenes moments that he shared.”

We also chat about the new Superman film from James Gunn, which stars David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan. Mordechai said it was an incredibly powerful film, as he and Daniella attempt to fancast this generation’s heartthrob version of Nightwing.

Mordechai: “I’m still reeling from seeing [Superman] two times. It stuck with me and I love it.”

The first three episodes of the final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty are also out now, and we are obsessed. We are split over Team Conrad vs. Team Jeremiah and talk through all the potential easter eggs that might show up later this season. Mordechai says he thinks Conrad has grown the most throughout the show and we love how the show sticks to the core friend group and relationships. We’ll be talking so much more about this season so make sure to tune in.

Mordechai: “Conrad going to therapy shows he’s taking initiative in himself.”

We also get an exclusive peak at our interviews with Xolo Maridueña and Natasha Lyonne, who both star in the new animated musical comedy Smurfs, in theaters now. Xolo shares all about going from playing Miguel in Cobra Kai to an animated film. The legendary Natasha Lyonne, who also stars in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, gave us such great advice for inspiring young actors. For any Marvel fans, are you a fan of those movies individually or the universe in general?

Natasha Lyonne: “I love being part of a Smurfs community.”

There is even more to look forward to in August, from Wednesday to Freakier Friday and more.
