My Life with the Walter Boys follows recently-orphaned Jackie Howard, a teenage girl from Manhattan played by Nikki Rodriguez, who is forced to move to a ranch in Colorado following a family tragedy. There, she is taken in by the Walter family and their seven sons.
Season 2 picks up with Jackie returning to Silver Falls, Colorado, as she continues to find herself torn between her feelings for brothers Alex and Cole. Season 3 is already confirmed, which gives us even more time to reflect on a crazy season 2.

Both Mordechai and Daniella were very happy with how season 2 turned out. We discussed our favorite scenes, as Mordechai’s was Jackie telling Alex she kissed Cole, while Daniella loved the nostalgia of Jackie finding her mom’s old dresses.
Daniella: “I feel like this [Walter] family really loves Jackie and really values her, especially the mom.”
Just like with Conrad and Jeremiah in The Summer I Turned Pretty, fans are divided over Team Cole and Team Alex. Mordechai and Daniella reveal they are both Team Cole this season, but we cannot wait to see how things unfold after that heartbreaking cliffhanger.
Mordechai: “I am Team Cole because you can tell Jackie really likes him.”
There were so many fun moments this season we also got into, including the debate over how much that school dance actually cost, and Cole and Danny’s bromance.
Daniella: “It felt like Cole and Danny really had a true meaningful friendship and to me with siblings, that is the coolest thing.”
To end the episode, we play a game of the ultimate on-screen BFFs, debating friendships like Grace and Jackie from My Life with the Walter Boys to Jenn and Joey from Dawson’s Creek, Belly and Taylor from The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Lane and Rory from Gilmore Girls. Who is your fav friendship?
Mordechai: “There is something about Jackie and Grace’s friendship that has stuck with me.”
There are so many parallels from My Life with the Walter Boys to The Summer I Turned Pretty, and it is a battle of the love triangles. Mordechai says he is more invested in the Belly/Conrad/Jeremiah triangle but is more excited about Jackie/Cole and Alex. School dance vs. debutante ball? Cousins or Silver Falls?
