One of our favorite forthcoming YA novels “The Fire Sermon” by Francesca Haig will be adapted by Nicole Perlman for the big screen. Perlman worked on “Guardians of the Galaxy” one of our top picks for summer. THR says the novel is “set 400 years in the future, where all humans are twins, with one being genetically perfect and the other being physically mutated and banished to isolated settlements. Trouble arises when a mutated twin leads an uprising in one of the settlements.” Perlman is writing the project for DreamWorks. Stay tuned as we get more information on casting announcements.
