If you haven’t watched Game of Thrones, then chances are you haven’t gotten to know 15 year-old British actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright.  Despite his rather short list of acting credits, Isaac has worked with some impressive people in some impressive locations on several impressive projects, Thrones being his most iconic role to date.  He has been nominated twice for a Screen Actors Guild award, for his ensemble work on Thrones, as well as earning a Young Artist Award nomination, also for Thrones.

On the book-to-screen epic series Game of Thrones, Isaac plays Bran Stark, an impetuous young “high-born” boy who is rendered paralyzed from the waist down when he is thrown from a high castle tower after seeing something he shouldn’t.  His accident, while crippling him physically, awakens a magical force within him, which leads him on an incredible journey into the unknown frozen north of his homelands.  Fans of the Bran Stark storyline might be disappointed next spring when Thrones returns for its 5^th season, because the TV series has almost gotten to the end of the existing Bran storyline in the novels.  Two more books will be written in the series, which will continue Bran’s storyline to what will be an undoubtedly epic conclusion.

Isaac also appeared in two feature films during his time working on Game of Thrones. In 2011’s supernatural horror film The Awakening, Isaac plays Tom Hill, a young boy with a surprising secret living at a 1920s boarding school.  He also appeared in the political thriller Closed Circuit, as the son of lead character Martin Rose (Eric Bana).

Now Isaac has expanded his acting abilities to include voice acting, as he will appear (or rather, be heard) in the upcoming stop-motion animated film The Boxtrolls, which is based on the novel Here Be Monsters! by Alan Snow.  Isaac will provide the voice for Eggs, a young boy who has spent his life living among a clan of odd little monsters.  When a threat to their very existence throws their lives into chaos, Eggs steps up to save his family.
