The end of season three of Teen Wolf was one for the books. Shocking deaths and crazy fight scenes ensued as our favorites in Beacon Hills tried to save Stiles from the Nogitsune. The most shocking deaths were of course Aiden and Allison…but they weren’t the only exits. We saw Isaac Lahey walk out of Chris’s apartment and into the night. Although he didn’t die, we’ve heard that Daniel Sharman wanted off the show to explore other opportunities.
According to the show’s executive producer, Jeff Davis, “[Daniel] said he loved the role so much that he wanted to be able to come back if there was a chance…He was at a position where he wanted to stretch his creative wings and I said to him, ‘Well, if we can’t convince you to come back, we’ll definitely leave the door open for you.”
In honor of Daniel’s birthday and this emotional news, we’ve put together our top five favorite Isaac moments from the show.
5. Isaac’s first appearance on the show:
Isaac’s entrance onto the show not only introduced a new character that would become significant quickly, but showed us his tough background and flexed Daniel’s acting chops all at once – not an easy feat!
4. The Fireflies
The tension between Isaac and Derek took on a new level in this scene…Overprotective brother is not to be messed with. Isaac’s reaction to Derek’s shut down is definitely LOL worthy.
3. Twin showdown
Isaac had a way of getting to the twins and the scene where he irks them about their bike is definitely one that got their blood boiling. He was annoying for fans and characters alike, but he showed some real gumption.
2. Allison and Isaac kiss
Knowing what’s gone down, this moment takes on a special sadness, but at the time it was sweet and touching. It endeared Isaac to us when he needed to be endeared.
1. Isaac in the Hospital
Although Isaac bothered us from time to time, there was a moment where we thought we almost lost him…until we did…but at that time everyone was very touchingly concerned. While we’re unsure to Isaac’s future, let’s take a look back at a moment that shows how he touched people’s hearts back in the past.
