For any Marvel fans out there, check out the animated television series Spidey and His Amazing Friends, which was just renewed for a fourth season on Disney Junior and Disney+. The show follows the adventures of Peter Parker (Spidey), Miles Morales (Spin) and Gwen Stacy (Ghost-Spider) as they fight various villains including Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Sandman. Along the way, they get some much needed help from some classic superhero friends like Black Panther, Ms. Marvel and Ant-Man.

If you are looking to learn more about the series you have come to the right place as we bring you a Young Entertainment Exclusive with Jakari Fraser, the voice of Miles Morales! We talked to Jakari about his character in the series, voice-acting, giving back to his community and much more. As always, we have tried our best to avoid any spoilers in case you haven’t seen the latest season of this popular series. The first two seasons are currently streaming on Disney+ while the third season will premiere on January 8, 2024.

Despite his young age, Jakari has already made a name for himself in the entertainment world, working alongside huge Hollywood stars. In addition to Spidey and His Amazing Friends, he has appeared in the feature film Ben Is Back alongside Julia Roberts, featured alongside Melissa McCarthy in Superintelligence and teamed up with Paul Rudd in Ant Man and the Wasp: QuantumMania.

“What made me want to start acting is I felt like I was made for this and I felt like God told me I was supposed to be in this business.”

Jakari told us he first got into acting because he felt that it added purpose to his life. He also revealed that he grew up watching Spiderman and being able to voice Miles

Morales in a show was a dream come true. And while he enjoys voice-acting, it’s a dream of his to one day play Miles in a live action version. Jakari said that he relates to the character of Miles because they both like to give back to their community, family and friends. He even started his own foundation called Kid Kari Cares which helps out the less fortunate and to help make sure no kids have to go hungry.

“I hope Kid Kari Cares can make an impact globally and reach millions of people.”

Jakari also told us that he loves being on camera where he can relate to the characters around him and really get into the scene. One of those opportunities came when he played a young Ant-Man fan alongside Paul Rudd and in our conversation he shared some funny anecdotes from that particular experience.

Consider This:

-Voice acting is the art of performing a character with one’s voice. It is different from on-camera acting as voice actors need to solely rely on their voice to convey character’s emotions while on-camera acting includes using facial expressions and body language.
