If you’re looking for a fun survival thriller as summer nears an end, look no further than The End of Oak Street, which is out in theaters now. We Facetimed exclusively with Jordan Alexa Davis,  who stars as Jeannette in the new science fiction film to learn about her experience on her first major film set, working with Anne Hathaway, and her best advice for aspiring actors.

“Anne is just the sweetest person.”

The film follows the Platt family as they band together to navigate their new surroundings after a cosmic event transports their suburban neighborhood into someplace unknown. Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor star in the film, in addition to Maisy Stella and Christian Convery and Jordan’s character Jeannette is a girl from the neighborhood who is in her own fight for survival.

Jordan revealed this was her first major film so everything on set was a great learning experience. She said she learned the most just from observing others, but considering she loved action movies growing up, this was a dream come true first project.

“The whole entire experience was full of firsts and learning experiences.”

It’s not everyday that you’re working with acting legends like Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, and so Jordan learned so much from this project. She said Anne and Ewan are so lovely and so talented, being able to seamlessly step in and out of their characters while filming.

“Anne and Ewan are able to step into the zone very quickly.”

This was also Jordan’s first time leaving home to work, as The End of Oak Street was filmed in Atlanta. While this was a nerve wracking experience, she said everyone on set was so incredibly supportive of her.

“Everyone was so helpful with it being such a new experience for me.”

And because Jordan is just getting started as a rising star in the industry, she took the time to share some of her biggest tips and tricks for booking roles and being on a major set, including the best way to learn lines, and the biggest things to take away from co-stars.

“It helps to know the whole scene and other people’s lines.”
