Model and actress, Cara Delevingne, is writing her first novel, titled Mirror Mirror. The novel will be available to at the bookshelf on October 3rd. Additionally, Harper, an imprint of HarperCollins, now has the U.S. rights to the coming-of-age story.
Delevigne co-wrote Mirror Mirror with Rowan Coleman, bestselling author of The Memory Book. The novel will feature four friends: Red, Leo, Naomi, and Rose, and it will highlight the themes of identity, sexuality, friendship, and betrayal. In addition to gripping story, writers are promising a “killer midpoint twist” that comes between the friends.
Delevingne is very excited about working with Coleman saying, “Writing this book with Rowan Coleman has been such a special experience.” She continued, “I loved the process of creating the characters and developing the storyline. I am so proud and I cannot wait for everyone to read this collaboration between me and one of my favorite writers.”
Delevingne gained notoriety in the fashion world, winning Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in both 2012 and 2014. Before that, she worked with some of the most respected fashion houses like Chanel, Saint Laurent, and Burberry. In 2012, she transitioned into acting and has since starred in major films like Paper Towns and Suicide Squad.
