Jenna Davis is a master of all trades as an actress, producer, singer, songwriter, dancer, and social media influencer. With multiple viral videos and breakout roles to her name, Jenna began releasing music, with her debut EP set to come out later this year. We got to Facetime with Jenna to learn all about her music, collaborations, and exciting upcoming projects!

Jenna began her work in the entertainment world at a young age, with roles on the Brat network and the Disney Channel series Raven’s Home. You may also recognize Jenna’s iconic voice from voicing M3GAN in the hit horror film M3GAN, which came out in 2022. She boasts over 5 million followers on TikTok and 2.8 million subscribers on YouTube. Jenna also starred in Lisa Frankenstein and has some exciting film projects in the works, including M3GAN 2.0 and the indie horror film Stay at Home coming out.

Ever since Jenna was young, she’s always had a love for music. She released her first single “DiCaprio”, written by Kelsea Ballerini, Walker Hayes, and Ross Copperman, in August 2023, which has over 5 million views on YouTube. Her most recent song, “FBI”, came out this August and her debut EP is set to be released later this year.

“When it comes to my music, I just want people to smile and laugh at it, I want people to think it is funny.”

Because Jenna has experience in both the acting and songwriting world, she told us that they are similar in many ways, which doesn’t make it too difficult to transition from one to the other. Songwriting is storytelling and acting is portraying a character but also telling a story. In previous roles, she has found ways to relate to her character’s experiences, similarly to writing about her own experiences in her music.

“Both [acting and singing] pull from real life emotions and real life stories.”

Jenna said music was originally her first love, but her involvement with theater at a young age helped to bridge the gap between singing and acting. As Jenna has shown, you can do it all!

“Theater is the perfect representation of combining dancing, acting, singing and you collaborate with all of them.”

We asked Jenna about her latest song “FBI” and she said she loves to write fun and quirky music. “FBI” specifically is about girls stalking their crushes on Instagram and she said it’s been fun to see her fans and followers’ reaction on social media and those who relate to the song. Jenna said she hopes people realize it is okay to write fun and comical music and she enjoys making people smile with her lyrics. 

“Lyrically, [FBI] is witty and fun and silly and it is all about how girls stalk guys on Instagram.”

As a voice actor, Jenna perfectly encapsulated the eerie and robotic voice of M3GAN and she said she got to make many of her own choices on M3GAN’s character to portray an “evil robot”. She had to channel a different approach to how she typically writes and records her music, but with this undeniable talent, we cannot wait to see what is in store next! 

“[Playing M3GAN] was very fun, it was the best challenge I could have done.”
