Nashville Recap, 02E14 “Too Far Gone”

Lamar’s out of prison and things are never boring when it comes to Lamar. On this week’s Nashville, Lamar gets released from jail. Immediately upon his release, Rayna and the girls throw him a welcome back party, complete with lots of singing. Cue cuteness. Teddy is livid and can barely control himself, in fact, he doesn’t when he blurts out that Tandy was the star witness responsible for Lamar’s imprisonment. Maybe THAT’S why she wasn’t at the party. Awkward. Lamar proceeds to have a heart attack when he finds out about Tandy and TEDDY JUST STANDS THERE. Karma? Deacon has a killer show at the Bluebird, but not before getting into a fight with Megan. Is it just us or do these two get into it a lot? Avery does sound engineering for Deacon’s show, and it really seems like Avery’s coming into his own. He and Juliette are officially a thing now, and they have a sort of coming out at Deacon’s performance. Deacon’s encouraging, and Juliette debates going back into the studio. You can only hide out from the haters for so long. Will is still struggling with his sexuality and Gunnar has taken on the role of mentor and corner man. Will complains about Brent to Jeff, and then Jeff decides to take on a closer role in shaping Will’s career. Future romantic tension? Maybe? Scarlett is delving into more dangerous territory with the uppers she’s getting into. Gunnar and Zoey are suspicious of Scarlett’s change in behavior, but they don’t want to question it too much since it’s the first time everyone seems to be getting along. Speaking of Zoey, she’s going to be a backup singer. Career changes! Do you think Scarlett’s flirting with disaster? What about Lamar, alive or dead? There are so many storylines it’s impossible to pose questions about them all – join the conversation on Twitter and let us know thoughts @YAmzine.
