Created by Mindy Kaling, this show follows an Indian-American teenager wanting to improve her status at school, but friends, families and feelings don’t make it easy. “Never Have I Ever” first premiered on Netflix on April 27, 2020 and during the COVID-19 pandemic, it become a a favorite. Fans have been anticipating anything pertaining to the last season of this series that’s supposed to come out in 2023.

Instead of giving us a trailer or teaser, Netflix released a video of the cast reading their scripts. It starts out with Maitreyi, who plays Devi, complaining about what stuff her character is getting into now. She introduces herself before one by one the rest of the cast comes in to talk about their thoughts on the script.

Jaren, the guy who plays Ben one of Devi’s love interests and good friend, comes into scene bragging about how Ben supposedly got hotter over the summer. They then discuss a “boink card” scene that happens.

Fans took to Twitter after the opening scene of the teasing saying they want Ben and Devi to finally get together.

Paxton, who is played by Darren Barnet, is another fan favorite and comes into scene where Maitreyi, questions why he is there aa his character graduated already. Darren mentions “you get rid of me that easy, Paxton’s back, baby” with a wink at the camera. Maitreyi and Jared continue proving he’s there by finding him in the script.

With the three of them on screen, Maitreyi, Darren and Jared discuss the fact that Season 4 supposedly has a wedding. They all agree that the person who (remains a secret) is getting married is not who they expected.

They then confirmed that Michael Cimino is joining the cast as Ethan, the new heartthrob at Sherman Oaks High. Darren says, “We got handsome nerd and cool jock covered” once Maitreyi answers the facetime call from Michael. Michael responds that he’s playing, “more of a smoldering bad boy.”  Devi is going to have her work cut out for her, is what Maitreyi thinks.

Jared and Darren both act jealous as they hang up on Michael and advise Maitreyi to block the number, hinting that the love triangle could expand and Devi may have a new love interest. Overall, you see in the pictures of tweets as well as the tagged video and pictures of the cast that fans are very excited for season 4 of “Never Have I Ever” and just like Michael said before he got hung up on, “Who said senior year was going to be easy?”

If you have yet to watch the tv series, you can catch up now with the three seasons streaming on Netflix.
