Prime Video’s newest YA drama, Sterling Point, is out now and we have an exclusive Facetime with Nikko Angelo Hinayo who stars as Sully in the series to learn more.
Sterling Point, created by actress and director Megan Park, follows Annie Jacobson, played by Ella Rubin, as her life takes a turn when she inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada.
*WARNING: This interview contains spoilers from Sterling Point season 1.*
Nikko dives into some of the best scenes to film in season 1, including the iconic Camp Rock 2 birthday party. Any guesses as to who is the biggest Camp Rock fan in the cast??
“I absolutely love the Camp Rock movies.”
We also talk Sully’s relationship with Connor, played by Keen Ruffalo. Although Nikko said them and Connor are different, they spent a lot of time together and were able to find similarities in their personality and interest, which helped form their chemistry in scenes, including that cake scene. Differences make us stronger!
“When me and Keen are hanging out, we had a lot of similar interests.”
Nikko also reveals their thoughts on Joe’s actions, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, throughout the series, the theme of keeping secrets, and what they think about the endgame of season 1.
“These fathers really do care about their families.”
It is obvious that this cast became incredibly close and Nikko said their favorite memory from set was going stargazing with the cast, bonding under the night sky and getting to see a shooting star. Talk about a special moment!
“The cast and I loved stargazing.”
