Olivia Rodrigo Plays With Fire In Her New Music Video Good 4 U

Olivia Rodrigo has passed the reminiscing phase of “Deja Vu” and has now entered the crazy Ex phase of her new single “Good 4 U”. I mean just look at the photo, she’s clearly flown over the cuckoo’s nest. Get your hoses ready this is one “burning hot” music video.

Petra Collins was the director of this “lit” masterpiece. She’s directed other videos in the past such as Selena Gomez-Fetish, Carly Rae Jepsen-Boy Problem, and Cardi B-Bartier Cardi. So, you know this was going to be trending in no time.

The music video was released on May 13th on YouTube, and is her third single of her album SOUR. It’s more fierce and bolder than her previous works. She starts off with what appears to be her auditioning, then goes on to dancing in a highschool auditorium. After that, it all goes downhill. She starts having fun with fire and water. She buys gasoline from a shop and sets the curtains in her rooms ablaze. She also floods her room. I wonder just how much a room can take before it all falls apart?

Also, the rhythm isn’t quite like her other songs. It’s more upbeat and guitar-heavy. It’s great for anyone who’s still hung up on their Ex and just can’t get over how fast they’re moving on. Perfect break up song for the summer.

Olivia really outdid herself in “good 4 u”. She has shown how diverse her singing talents are and how great she is performing different music genres. I’m really excited to see what she comes up with next. A song about acceptance and moving on, perhaps?
