On My Block fans, it’s almost time for Season 3 to pour out its slate of episodes on Netflix! I know, I know, it seems like ages since Season 2 left us on its cliffhanger. It has been about a year since the last season, so it makes sense that the wait should be over.
The series has been heartwarming, showing four teens sticking together through their friendship and strong bonds amidst all the violence, gangs, and hardships in their dangerous Los Angeles neighborhood.
So what adventures will Ruby (Jason Genao), Monse (Sierra Capri), Cesar (Diego Tinoco), and Jamal (Brett Gray) get themselves into this season? Well, it appears they need to free themselves from an unspecified enemy before they can head back to Freeridge.
The moving Netflix drama left us fans on a huge cliffhanger to conclude Season 2 when a random van with a few people in ski masks pulled up next to the teens on the street and kidnapped them. Now, the fate of the kids is in question as someone is after them for who knows what reason.
Though they are together, remember, another major plot point ended the previous season. That was Monse deciding to leave Freeridge for boarding school to give herself more opportunities to succeed. This would hypothetically mean the friends would split up. Given they can escape from the evil clutches of the person who took them hostage.
Despite all the questions, it just so happens that we have been given a teeny, tiny hint of clarity for Season 3. The trailer revealed that the culprit behind the kidnapping is Cuchillos, the powerful head to the Santos gang who wants the kids to embark on another mission and find an ALIVE LIL’ RICKY!
Looks like the action in Season 3 will be more high-octane. The kids must scramble to solve this case or else they face the wrath of Cuchillos!
The suspense and action is all but over. On My Block Season 3 officially releases today, March 11!
