Pretty Little Liars S04E22 “Cover For Me”

This season of PLL gets juicer with every episode. In “Cover For Me” we reveal a potential new “A”! Before we get into that, however, let’s start at the beginning. We see Spencer coming home from a short stint at rehab. While we feel for her, her new sober coach Dean is sure to help her with the transition. It doesn’t hurt that he’s gorgeous. Dean has Spencer doing a fair amount of running to help with her therapy and it’s bringing suppressed memories to the forefront. When Spencer confronts her mom about them, however, she won’t confirm anything Spencer is remembering.

Aria is off visiting Syracuse and meets Riley, who helps her to take her mind off of Ezra. When she gets back to Rosewood, she goes to see Ezra to unpack her feelings about the week she spent with Riley and Ezra’s betrayal over the book. Ezra tells her he cancelled the deal and pleads with her to read the manuscript to see where he’s coming from. She reads it and finds out Ezra’s theory that Mrs. DiLaurentis is, in fact A. Mrs. DiLaurentis’s exchange with Spencer in this episode doesn’t do anything to discourage that idea.

Emily is trying to figure out what Mona’s motivations have been. She uncovers that Mona starting dating Mike to give him information about Aria. Hanna goes on a date with Travis…but it’s cut short because Aria sends the girls an SOS. Later, Holbrook tries to talk to Hanna about the Paige letter. Hanna tries to talk to Emily about it to get to the bottom of how it got there and realizes that Emily told her girlfriend about Ali. The Hanna feels like Emily broke her trust and Emily is utterly heartbroken that Paige took that information and disregarded her.
