On the eve of Sia’s new album release, entitled 1000 Forms of Fear, we’re taking a look back at her song Breathe Me when it was featured on Cyberbully. Cyberbully was a cutting-edge TV movie on ABC Family in 2011. The film dealt with the hot button issue in a gritty and groundbreaking way. The movie starred Emily Osment and helped establish her as a real talent. She now has her own show on the network, so it’s safe to say Cyberbully was an amazing experience for both her and the network Sia’s song “Breathe Me” was featured during one of the most intense moments of the movie, an emotional low where the bullying became more than it was possible to bear and a suicide attempt ensued. The lyrical quality of the song is Sia at her best and the scene went on to be talked about in countless publications after the movie aired.
Revisiting this has only made us more excited for Sia’s new album. The lead single, “Chandelier” was released in March and is already blowing up airwaves. We’re also extremely excited about “Elastic Heart” featuring The Weeknd and Diplo, as well as “Fair Game” and “Hostage.” Check out the scene from Cyberbully below and listen to Sia’s new album in full ASAP!
