Season 3 of XO, Kitty stacks up to be the most fun and dramatic yet, as Kitty returns to KISS for her senior year, determined to make memories before graduation, having to confront tough questions about her future and her relationships.
“There was so much I didn’t expect of how they were going to finish off season 3.”
It was revealed that a major moment of season 3 was the return of Lana Condor as Lara Jean Song Covey, reconnecting Kitty and Lara from the To All the Boys roots. Peter shared his thoughts on the Laura Jean and Peter Kavinsky storyline, saying how crazy and exciting it was that it all came together!
“It was even just the shock of Laura Jean coming back in general.”
When Peter and the cast first got the script for season 3, he said it was wild to see how it evolved over time, especially the ending. The ending went through many different versions, and Peter said it ended up heartwrenching, emotional and gave us a lot to think about past the season finale.
Peter also answers the questions we are all asking. Did Q make the right decision by going back to Jin? Is a potential season 4 Yuri and Julianna’s year?
“I would love to see more of Yuri’s development.”
He also reveals that his favorite scene to film this season was the Korean scene alongside Ji Wan, Alex and Kitty, as it was the last scene he shot for the season. Peter said this was a scene where Alex truly felt like a part of the KISS family and it was so special to watch unfold.
“It was really nice having what felt like a family together, especially for Alex.”
