In last nights episode of Fountain, characters addressed issues from the past as the episode somewhat dragged a bit. The episode followed Daphne’s troubled relationship with John and Bay’s less than stellar critique of her talent as an artist.
With a mildly alluring storyline about vandalism, Emmett’s turmoil about turning his friend in was more about deaf pride than his own moral beliefs.
The relationships didn’t seem to progress much throughout the hour. Campbell was MIA the entire time and Tank just tagged along with Bay on her artistic road trip. The story was more about Bay’s ambitions as a professional artist rather than the two becoming an item. With all of the boy drama Bay has seen lately, it’s probably a good thing. She should address her own needs for a change before jumping into another relationship.
Daphne, meanwhile, has befriended Sharee in an attempt to not hate Carlton and prove she was not the tire-slashing culprit. Elsewhere, Kathryn’s ongoing on a downward spiral without her family to take care of. Toby has every right to move out on his own, but his mother’s response was not surprising considering the way her storyline is going this season. With Daphne and Bay both heading to college and Toby moving out to start his life with Nikki, things can only get unhealthier.
