Teen Wolf, S03E15 – “Galvanize”

“Galvanize” begins with William Barrow aka the Shrapnel Bomber arriving at the hospital for surgery. Melissa does the preop interview and in the interview Barrow reveals he killed the kids because their eyes were glowing. Scott and Stiles plan mischief night tricks and pranks, causing Coach a big headache. The twins show up and tell Scott they need an Alpha. Stiles, Isaac and Scott all mutually don’t trust one another, so Scott says no. Aiden tries to tell Ethan they need to show Scott they’ve changed. Ethan’s resistant, that is until Danny appears. Barrow’s surgery goes off the rails and ends up with him waking up from anesthesia, stabbing his operating doctor with a scalpel and fleeing. In other medical related happenings, Derek fixes up Peter’s finger. They go through the box the found from last episode and learn that it has some of Talia’s claws in it. Gross. Lydia is hearing things, particularly a buzzing, but that doesn’t stop her from making out with Aiden near Coach’s trashed office. When they come up for air and leave, we see Barrow was standing behind the door. He uses Coach’s stapler to shut his surgery opening. Gross again. The school goes on lockdown as soon as everyone realizes Barrow is there. Everyone frantically searches for him, culminating with Stiles pulling the fire alarm but even with all that, nothing. Mr. Yukimura invites Scott over to thank him for saving Kira from the coyote. The dinner is predictably awkward, but we learn that Kira has a Japanese last name, even though her father is Korean. This is sure to be important later. Back at Stiles’s he and Lydia are trying to piece together the Barrow mystery. They figure out that Barrow is after Kira. Peter stabs Derek with one of Talia’s claws, allowing him to communicate with his mother. When he comes out of the trance, we don’t know what he learned but we know it wasn’t good. Barrow manages to snatch Kira by smacking Scott with a tire iron. Ouch. Lydia gets frustrated with her powers and screams. This helps her realize that the buzzing she was hearing was in fact electricity and ultimately this acts as a clue to where Barrow took Kira. Kira ends up stopping him at the last minute by sucking in all the electricity. All of the lights go out across Beacon Hills. Although Kira managed to protect herself, Isaac didn’t fare as well. During the blackout, masked men show up at Allison’s and attack Isaac. The episode ends with Allison and Chris trying to get into her room to stop the attack, although they’re not able to. Tune in next week to see how it all shakes out!
