ABOUT THE ALBUM: Festival darlings Chvrches is finally ready to release their first full length and it’s about time. The Scottish duo burst onto the scene in 2011 and is comprised of Lauren Mayberry (lead vocals, additional synthesizers), Iain Cook (synthesizers, guitar, bass, vocals), and Martin Doherty (synthesizers, samplers, vocals). Their music is electronic / syntho pop and manages to have both high energy and affecting emotion. Mayberry’s vocals soar and fans have been eager for a full-length release since tracks started appearing 3 years ago. The Bones of What You Believe is the product of that wait, and should be well worth it. Look out for it 9/24/13.

SINGLE SPOTLIGHT: “Gun” is not only a vocal feat but the video is very much a visual one. The song appeals to emotion and is almost a full body experience that is better listened to than talked about.
