The episode begins with Stephen finding his dad in limbo to talk to him. Roger tells him that in order to bring him back from limbo, Stephen must track down his old associate Simon Plame, who has Roger’s body. To compound Stephen’s headache, he goes home to find that his mom’s got a new boyfriend, Pete. How’s that going to go over if Stephen manages to bring Roger back? Meanwhile John’s having a crisis as he didn’t tell the other tomorrow people that he killed Roger. He decides to come clean and calls a council meeting. The council are outraged that John killed Roger and decide to elect a new leader: Cara, to John’s dismay. Whilst all this is going on, inmate Errol escapes from The Citadel, a top secret research facility run by Ultra which treats tomorrow people like lab rats. Stephen, sent by Jedikiah to pick Errol up, fails to apprehend him – Errol ‘pushes’ him out of his mind. Cara hatches a plot to break into the Citadel and free the tomorrow people. Steven tries a second time to pick Errol up and this time succeeds; John and Cara shoot Stephen in the shoulder to clear him from suspicion and they escape with Errol. But Jedikiah is too smart and has Stephen put on some pretty heavy sedatives back at Ultra to get him out of the way whilst he prepares a defense. Cara and Errol manage to break into the Citadel, but Jedekiah is lying in wait for them, and Errol lays down his life for Cara. The attempt at storming the Citadel is mostly a bust, although Cara manages to pull out one little girl. When Stephen finally comes to, he asks Jedikiah who Simon Plame is. Jedikiah relishes telling Stephen that Simon tried to take Roger’s body but that Jedikiah killed Simon and cremated Roger’s body. Steven is stricken and hopeless and when he goes home Pete is there with his mom again. He tries to read Pete’s mind but Pete pushes him out – he’s telepathic too! Is Pete friend or foe? And is Roger’s body really gone for good? Tune in next time to find out.
