HORNS

Summed up as:
In what is looking to become a trend (hello, Angelina Jolie in Maleficent?), Daniel Radcliffe gets a pair of…you guessed it, horns.
Coolest thing about the trailer: How little they show us – just one brief glimpse of a horned Harry Potter.
Prettiest thing in the trailer: A redheaded Juno Temple (who funnily enough played Thistletwit in Maleficent).
Worth seeing opening weekend? We will be there.

PITCH PERFECT 2

Summed up as:
This isn’t a trailer, but a clip that serves as a preview of one of the a capella groups set to appear in the highly anticipated sequel.
Coolest thing: The group’s name – The Filharmonic. They are a group of crooning men, all of Filipino heritage!
Funniest thing: The screaming girls in the audience. Some things never change.
Worth seeing opening weekend? With bells on!

UNBROKEN

Summed up as:
Director Angelina Jolie’s wartime epic, based on a true story of incredible survival.
Coolest thing about the trailer: The direct moments of homage to films like Chariots of Fire and Forrest Gump.
Prettiest thing in the trailer: Garrett Hedlund, a’course.
Worth seeing opening weekend? This looks pretty run of the mill, but maybe for Angelina.

Love, Rosie

Summed up as:
In what is looking to become another trend, after films like Like Crazy and One Day, this is another British love story about inseparable friends who become more than that, on opposite sides of the ocean.
Coolest thing about the trailer: How sincere Sam Claflin appears here (as opposed to his snobby turn as Finnick in The Hunger Games).
Funniest thing in the trailer:When Lily Collins lays it all out on the line in a candid phone conversation in the elevator.
Worth seeing opening weekend? Looks VOD-able.

BEHAVING BADLY

Summed up as:
A crazy-looking sex farce starring Nat Wolff and Selena Gomez.
Funniest thing in the trailer: A toss-up between Elisabeth Shue as ‘The Cougar’ and a blond Mary-Louise Parker as ‘The Saint’ (but we’re leaning towards the latter).
Prettiest thing in the trailer: The Selena Gomez air kiss fantasy sequence.
Worth seeing opening weekend? Looks fun, so yes.

JAMIE MARKS IS DEAD

Summed up as:
A creepy and inventive new ghost story.
Coolest thing about the trailer: The frank depiction of bullying and the brutal social life of high school, in addition to all the ghostly goings-on.
Other cool thing: The amazing cast, including Liv Tyler, Judy Greer, Morgan Saylor (Homeland) and Cameron Monaghan (Shameless).

Worth seeing opening weekend? Sure thing.

STARRED UP

Summed up as:
A festival favorite, looking inside a gritty prison and the explosive father-son relationship held within.
Freakiest thing in the trailer: The razor blade/toothbrush combo.
Did they show too much? No, but we’re not sure how much more violence we want to see.
Worth seeing opening weekend? If you can stomach it…

BIG HERO 6

Summed up as: Disney and Marvel are teaming up to bring us an intelligent, imaginative and visually dazzling superhero story on par with Pixar.
Funniest thing in the trailer: The no-nonsense cop. The best animation is always the stuff that just seems so real.
Other funniest thing in the trailer: The big galoob marshmallow guy when he’s running low on batteries. And what’s with that last shot??
Worth seeing opening weekend? With Maya Rudolph’s voice, we’re down!
