This Week In The Ya Book World Friday November 7th 2014

This weekend in Charleston, SC we have the annual YALLFest for 2014.  With guest authors like Veronica Roth, Rainbow Rowell, James Dashner and Sarah Dessen, it’s an event not to be missed!

It’s time again to Vote!  Pop on over to Goodreads to voice your opinions on the year’s best books in the first round of the 2014 Goodreads Choice Awards!

NaNoWriMo 2014 began on November 1st.  If this is the first you’re hearing about it, go sign up!  You’ll only need to write 2084 words per day to finish with 50,000 words of a novel by December 1st!

The Walled City” by Ryan Graudin had its trailer reveal this week and got everyone’s adrenaline pumping.

The trailer for “Hellhole” by Gina Damico, however, has raised the bar for all book trailers ever.  At least as far as level of humor goes.

Publishers Weekly featured 18-year-old author Aija Mayrock about self-publishing “The Survival Guide to Bullying”

New Sales this week include:

Sarah Fine – 2 untitled YA fantasy novels – McElderry Books

Nicole McInnes – contemporary YA novel, 100 Days – Farrar, Straus and Giroux

Amy Allgeyer Cook – contemporary YA novel, Water for Starfish – Egmont USA

Sarah Everett – 2 YA novels, one untitled and Everyone We’ve Been  – Knopf has bought, a YA novel

And last but not least, we’re showcasing the latest book cover reveals in case you missed them!
