Each week, an accomplished published author takes over the YEM Twitter account. Each week, the YA author will answer questions, tell stories, and give advice on our social media. This week young adult author Kim Cameron will be taking over our Twitter account.
Kim is the author of the “Seaper Powers” children’s book series. Book one of the series is called In Search of Bleu Jay’s Treasure and was released in 2014. It’s a magical tale about a little girl (Emma) who discovers special sea grass off the island of St. Thomas. It transforms her body so that she can talk to fish! Not only does she make new friends, she sets off on a new adventure to find buried treasure! There are now four books in the series, and the latest one is called The Riddle.
Kim Cameron is a true believer in nurturing and motivating children. Her series was inspired after meeting a young 12 year old girl on tour who was fascinated with octopi. This encounter led to the creation of Mr. Octopus, a children’s tune that later was taken to the next level using the song as the impetus. Cameron continues to travel across the country as part of the series national book tour/puppet show. Kim is also a Billboard chart-topping, high energy, deep house artist. You can hear her music on radio stations across the US, Canada, Europe and Australia.
