Thursday Twitter Takeover: Natasha Ravinand

Each week, an accomplished published author takes over the YEM Twitter account. Each week, the YA author will answer questions, tell stories, and give advice on our social media. This week young adult author Natasha Ravinand will be taking over our Twitter account.

Natasha is the author of Girls With Dreams: Inspiring Girls to Code and Create in the New Generation, In the book, Natasha analyzes societal biases that widen the gender gap in the sciences, obstacles in the way of systemic change, and solutions for a better and more inclusive tomorrow – all through personal stories, exclusive interviews, and a purpose to change the status quo. . Girls With Dreams tackles the gender gap in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) through the unorthodox lens of a teenage girl passionate about equality and technology. Natasha hopes to send one message to her peers of today: anyone can learn how to code and create for the betterment of tomorrow.

Natasha is also the founder of She Dreams in Code, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to bridging the STEM gender gap in underprivileged communities. Natasha is a writer on her website, A Girl in Tech (www.natasharavinand.com), an influencer for the women’s platform Mogul, and a passionate speaker and advocate for young women across the globe.
