Long before the Young Adult genre grew fangs and lived in a dystopian future, films of all kinds have been portraying this quirky, dramatic and thrilling time of life with zest and style. In fact, the reason films like Twilight are able to thrive the way they have is thanks in part to the films listed here. YA films have sprung from both the pages of wildly popular novels, as well as the minds of filmmakers whose memories of the pain and pleasure of high school and early adult life are still quite fresh.
