Ed Sheeran’s album X, pronounced multiply, is sure to top charts all summer long. Born in 1991, the Brit is super talented and we’re sure to see a lot more from him in years to come.
5. Dark Metropolis – Jaclyn Dolamore
This thriller with touches of magic is sure to please fans of both PLL and the Great Gatsby alike. Glitzy city life is contrasted with Thea Holder’s struggle to deal with a dead father and mentally unstable mother…while magical forces work on bigger levels.
6. Lana Del Rey – Ultraviolence
The songstress so popular, Kanye West had her sing at his wedding to Kim Kardashian, Ultraviolence is the newest effort from Lana Del Rey. The album is filled with anthemic, emotional tours that are likely to be featured in movies and on TV for the rest of the year.
7. Body in the Woods – April Henry
In this POV shifting new series told from multiple perspectives, a group of Portland teens search for an autistic man lost in the woods. The search takes a dark turn and becomes far more than they expected when they find a dead body in this sinister and gripping opening book of a sure to be hit series.
8. Degrassi
While we’re missing Faking It dearly, we’re highly amped to watch Degrassi in the meanwhile. Becky’s online gaming is explored in this episode of the 13th season.
9. Sam Smith – In The Lonely Hour
Another Brit dropping a highly anticipated album, Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour is a powerful debut effort. His vocal tone is unparalleled and his storytelling is second to none.
10. Jersey Boys
The Tony Award Winning hit musical is finally coming to the big screen. It was highly beloved during it’s run on Broadway and after a long development process, it’s sure to be a joyful musical experience.
