With 2025 inching closer and closer to its conclusion, and 2026 just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane and remember what an incredible year it was in entertainment. As we reflect on this year, Young Entertainment has found and highlighted some of the best Young Adult entertainment content we could find. Whether through films, television shows or music, every genre plays an integral part in the lives of Young Adults, which is why YE wants to celebrate it. So, without further ado, here is YE’s Top 5 Lists of 2025.
After previous hit seasons, some of our favorite streaming shows returned this year that we instantly binged, maybe even more than once. Here are some of our favorite shows that returned in 2025:
1. Stranger Things
The kids of Hawkins have returned to the Upside Down for a final time! The fifth and final season of Stranger Things came over a decade after the first season hit Netflix. Season 5 follows the group as they seek to find and kill Vecna once and for all. Their mission becomes more complicated when the military arrives and begins hunting Eleven. The show’s final season reminded us of why we fell in love with it in the first place: edge of your seat drama, incredible acting and on-screen relationships, and an ending we will never forget.
2. My Life with the Walter Boys
After the hit first season of My Life with the Walter Boys appeared on Netflix, we all wanted to see how Jackie, Cole and Alex’s lives unfolded. Season 2, which skyrocketed to number one right after its release, picked up after Jackie returned to Silver Falls, determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole, all while fitting back into the Walter family. As Jackie continues to feel more accepted while also trying to hold onto her family’s legacy, she is forced to make a choice that could destroy everything she’s worked to rebuild. We fell in love with the small town setting and wholesome friendships and relationships and cannot wait for season 3 in 2026.
3. Ginny and Georgia
With the entirety of the main cast returning, season 3 of Ginny and Georgia picked up after Georgia’s arrest for the murder of Tom Fuller. She spends the season on trial, with the entire nation watching her every move, as Ginny and Austin have to navigate their challenging lives and also race to rescue their mom. It has always been Ginny and Georgia against the world, and season 3 proved that. This season also dove into some dark and emotionally charged storylines, and we cannot wait to see what Sarah Lampert and the writers have in store for the fourth season in 2026.
4. XO, Kitty
XO, Kitty, the spinoff Netflix series to the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films, showcased new adventures, friendships and challenges for Kitty and her classmates in season 2. She discovered more about her Korean heritage and did give dating another shot, yet hidden feelings caused even more chaos. Season 3 will feature even more new characters on top of the solid original cast, and we cannot wait to see what more unfolds at KISS.
5. Wizards Beyond Waverly Place
Our nostalgic Disney hearts couldn’t take it when Wizards Beyond Waverly Place was first announced, a sequel to the hit original Wizards of Waverly Place. David Henrie reprised his role as Justin Russo, and Selena Gomez even made a cameo as the iconic Alex Russo. Season 2 saw Billie grappling with the fact that being part of the Russo family might be more complicated than she thought, and Justin was tasked with training three new young wizards for the Family Wizard Competition, resulting in a massively exciting plot twist at the end of the season, with an emotional cliffhanger. The show brings back elements of nostalgia with some incredible up and coming stars, including Janice LeAnn Brown, Alkaio Thiele and Max Matenko.
