With 2025 inching closer and closer to its conclusion, and 2026 just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane and remember what an incredible year it was in entertainment. As we reflect on this year, Young Entertainment has found and highlighted some of the best Young Adult entertainment content we could find. Whether through films, television shows or music, every genre plays an integral part in the lives of Young Adults, which is why YE wants to celebrate it. So, without further ado, here is YE’s Top 5 Lists of 2025.
While we unfortunately had to say goodbye to some shows this year, we will take the memories and characters with us forever. And for some, we’ll still get to see them once more in a different format. Here are the top five shows we loved but hate to see them go:
1. The Summer I Turned Pretty
While we had to say goodbye for a brief time to Conrad, Belly, Jeremiah and The Summer I Turned Pretty, creator Jenny Han will continue to feed us as it was announced after the conclusion of the Prime Video series that there would be a movie adaptation, set to potentially be released next year. After Conrad and Belly’s emotional ending, the movie might dive deeper into characters’ lives and include elements of the book series that were not included. Safe to say, we are so glad we are getting these characters back one more time. So once and for all, team Conrad or team Jeremiah?!
2. The Way Home
We will get to see the Landry women once more when the fourth and final season of The Way Home will be released on the Hallmark channel in spring 2026. The series, which stars Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Jordan Doww, and more, follows the lives of three generations of strong and independent Landry women.
3. Heartstopper
While there was some uncertainty over the future of the hit Netflix series Heartstopper, we’ll be able to watch Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring’s story continue in the upcoming television film and feature-length series finale in Heartstopper Forever. Kit Connor and Joe Locke will reprise their roles as Nick and Charlie face long-distance relationship challenges as Nick heads to university, tackling themes of independence and distance.
4. Motorheads
Motorheads is a coming of age drama following a group of high schoolers in a struggling Rust Belt town who bond over street racing, first loves and family secrets. It centers on twins Zac and Caitlyn, played by Michael Cimino and Melissa Collazo, who move to live with their uncle Logan, a former NASCAR driver-turned-auto body shop owner. While the series was not picked up for a second season by Prime Video, it has a passionate fanbase who is fighting for it to get picked up by another service, and so there is still hope for a second season!
5. Bel Air
Bel Air brought back a nostalgic group of fans as a modern remake of the iconic sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The series follows teenage Will Smith’s journey from West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air to live with his wealthy relatives, delving into important topics like racial tension, culture shock, and systemic issues in education and privilege. While its fourth season will be the last, both new and old fans fell in love with the elements of nostalgia and a darker take on the comedic original.
