From rising stars, to massive movie hits, and other legends making a comeback, there were some incredible hits this year. These were our favorites in 2025:
1. Blue- Joshua Bassett
Joshua Bassett continues to shine year in and year out and dazzle fans with his emotional and vulnerable lyrics and melodies. Released as a stand-alone single in September, “Blue” is a tender ballad that captures the quiet magic, innocence, and excitement of falling in love.
2. Mature- Hilary Duff
She’s back! Our Lizzie McGuire hearts here at Young Entertainment couldn’t contain our excitement when it was revealed that Hilary Duff was back to making hit music, a decade after releasing her last album. Her new pop single, “Mature”, showcases Duff speaking to her younger self and reflecting on everything she has been through. The song is a bop you can belt anywhere, and what’s even more exciting is that Hilary announced she’ll be going on tour in 2026.
3. Snow Angels- Zombies 4
Freya Skye and Malachai Barton are reunited as their ZOMBIES characters Victor and Nova in the single “Snow Angels”, which was released in November as a holiday song. The song showcases the two realizing that the holidays are so much better when they’re together, with the powerful lyric “I’d brave any weather ’cause nothing is better than being together again,”
4. Hanging by a Thread – Liamani
Since seeing her first showcase her talents in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series as Emmy, Liamani continues to display her range as an artist, as she released her second single “Hanging By a Thread,” this past year. Liamani has showcased her evolving growth as a singer and songwriter, blending emotional lyrics with a fun pop mix that is sure to get you dancing.
5. Golden – Huntrx
KPop Demon Hunters became a worldwide sensation this year, as the most-streamed movie in Netflix history. With a phenomenal soundtrack, including the hit song “Golden”, which became Grammy nominated for Song of the Year, it wouldn’t be possible with the powerful voices behind the songs: HUNTR/X. Composed of EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the trio showcases their range in “Golden”, an empowering anthem that explores themes of self-discovery and overcoming self-doubt.
