Tiesto feat. DBX. “Light Years Away”

Tiesto is tearing it up again, hot on the heels of a jam packed festival circuit summer including EDC, HARD summer and OutsideLands..  His fifth studio album A Town Called Paradise charted at No. 2 on US Dance/Electronic Albums when it was released earlier this year, and now he’s premiering a new male vocal led trance track featuring a cute romance between a girl and a robot.  He’s taking interracial romances to a new level!  Check out the video and let us know what you think:

Lorde – “Yellow Flicker Beat”

Lorde has just dropped a new sound; her single “Yellow Flicker Beat” is on the soundtrack for the forthcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1.  This track has the odor of Grammys all over it, as Lorde won two GRAMMY® Awards last year for ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Best Pop Solo Performance’, and she co-wrote this song with Paul Epworth and Joel Little, her regular collaborators.  It’s hallmark Lorde, catchy and dark with a heavy drums and a portentous melody that matches the gravitas of the movie.  We’re predicting a top five single over here; check out the audio on Vevo below and let us know if you agree.

One Direction – “Steal My Girl”

One Direction are out with a brand new single.  “Steal My Girl” comes from their fourth studio album Four which is set to drop in mid-November, and we think it’s a winner.  At first listen we can’t help think that the piano riff on this one sounds an awful lot like “The Winner Takes it All” by Abba, but the beat is much slower and more suited to being blared out in a huge arena.  We must admit that this love song has got us a feeling a little misty eyed and romantic … we wonder how many girls are listening to this imagining that Harry, Liam et al are singing this about them.  Check it out below and let us know what you think!
