It would seem that casting news for Young Adult Hollywood revolves around just a few hot and very in-demand names, and what a busy bunch they are! Ken Jeong Made Me Do It is happening! The comedy series pilot has gotten the green light now that Jeong is officially on board. Part of the cast of the soon-to-be-revived Community, Jeong will have time in his schedule to appear in both shows. He is also slated to appear in the CBS TV movie The DUFF.

Another greenlight for the show is Shannara, based on the novel by Terry Brooks. Set a thousand years into a post-apocalyptic future, the series focuses on the Shannaras, whose descendants possess ancient magical powers.

FOX

Rina Mimoun will take part in developing the highly anticipated Red Band Society as writer and executive producer. Mimoun has previously worked on Mistresses and Hart of Dixie. Red Band follows a group of ill teenagers in the wing of a hospital and their relationships with each other and their doctors.

The network has cancelled two new comedies after poor ratings: Seed and Backpackers.
