It would seem that casting news for Young Adult TV shows revolves around just a few hot and very in-demand names, and what a busy bunch they are! But because things change in showbiz faster than it takes Disney to fast-track something into production, the names on that list are changing all the time. So to that end, we here at YA Mag will undertake the hefty task of keeping you up to date on who’s playing what, who’s hot, and who’s not. James D’Arcy has been cast alongside Hayley Atwell on Marvel spinoff Agent Carter, which further explores the world of Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. D’Arcy will play Stark’s butler and an ally to Atwell’s Carter.

Annika Marks has landed a recurring role on our fave The Fosters, as Monte, a working woman left in the lurch when her main staffer up and quits.
CBS
AnnaLynne McCord is part of the upcoming crime thriller series Stalker, starring Dylan McDermott and Maggie Q. The show focuses on the detectives of the LAPD stalker unit and their cases. McCord will guest starr as Nina Preston, a TV star stalked by an obsessed fan.
CTV
90210’s Jessica Lowndes joins the cast of Motive, where she will guest star. The crime procedural show is about to unveil its third season.

YA fave Aubrey Plaza will voice Grumpy Cat in the upcoming TV movie Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever. The animated movie tells the tale of a cat who is always cast aside and the little girl who can communicate with her.

As speculated in our piece on Biopics, Alexandra Shipp will bring the late R&B songstress to life in Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B. The TV movie follows the artist’s inspiring journey to success before tragedy struck in the form of a fatal plane crash in the Caribbean during a shoot for a music video.

Casey Deidrick, John Garet Stoker, and Kiersey Clemons are set to co-star on Eye Candy, a thriller drama series about a computer genius who suspects that one of her online love interests is a threatening stalker.
USA
Zach Gilford joins Jennifer Carpenter on the drama Stanistan, about an American compound in the Middle East where State Department staffers, CIA officers and international journalists do their best to work together. Gilford will play Phillip Guthrey, an Infrastructure Deputy Manager.
VH1
Nick Clifford will be part of Hindsight, a drama series that follows a bride to be who, on the day of her wedding, wakes up twenty years earlier with the chance to take her life in a new direction. Clifford will play Andy, the woman’s fiancé in the future.

They can never come up with something new! The old film (from 1990) Problem Child is being developed for NBC. No word yet on who might snag the role of this update to Dennis the Menace.
