While there are many star standouts on Under The Dome, we’ve been most captivated by Mackenzie Lintz. Hailing from a family of actors (her mother, two younger brothers and sister are all actors) Mackenzie, who also goes by Kenzie, is on the verge of a banner year.

While she didn’t have immediate success, she got encouragement in a major way on one of her first auditions. She auditioned for the role of Mattie Ross in True Grit. She got called back for a screen test, and almost landed the part that eventually went to Hailee Steinfeld. While losing out on the role was a blow, it allowed Kenzie to book some smaller roles and help her refine her acting skills. Those roles included a turn on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva and then a more prominent and dramatic role in The Hunger Games as the tribute from District 8. Not too shabby, if we do say so.

These roles paved the way for her breakout as Norrie Calvert-Hill on Under the Dome. She appears in multiple scenes in every episode, and has a major revelatory twist at the end of season 1, We can’t wait to see where she takes Norrie and what roles she pursues beyond Under The Dome! Keep your eyes out for her, as we’ve surely not seen the last of her yet.
