Margaret Qualley is about as fresh as the come in terms of her career. After studying at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic art, the nineteen year-old actress has only two acting credits to her name so far, but they’re both extremely high profile. In addition to having a small part in Gia Coppola’s indie drama Palo Alto, which starred Emma Roberts and James Franco, she plays Jill Garvey on HBO’s new fantasy-drama series The Leftovers. Margaret plays Jill, the daughter of her town’s Police Chief (Justin Theroux), and both she and her police chief dad struggle with the aftermath of a mass disappearance of nearly two percent of the world’s population.
Margaret may be new to acting herself, but she isn’t new to the industry. Her mother is legendary screen actress Andie MacDowell, who starred in Groundhog Day and Four Weddings and a Funeral, just to name a couple. Acting talent clearly runs in the family. Hopefully we will be seeing more of Margaret, both on TV and in the movies!
