It’s a good day to be a Disney fan because the newest trailer for Frozen 2 was just released! The sequel to the hit 2012 movie will be released soon. Frozen dominated the box office and captured the hearts of so many fans. We expect Frozen 2 to do the same!
Your favorite characters from the first movie are returning, including Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf. Even the trolls are back! The voice actors from the first movie are all reprising their roles. While not much is known about how the sequel will be different, we do know that new characters will be included. For one, Evan Rachel Wood will be playing the role of Queen Iduna. Queen Iduna is the deceased mother of Anna and Elsa, who was seen briefly in the first film. Sterling K Brown will also provide a voice for the movie. His character is named Lt. Destin Mattias, although not much else is known about his character.
Unlike the first movie, Frozen 2 will take sisters Anna and Elsa far away from Arendelle. Not much is known about the new location, but from the looks of the trailer, it will be warmer! Looks like the winter of the first film has come to an end, but characters may be encountering other seasons as well.
The official synopsis of the sequel is as follows from Disney:
“Three years after the events of the first film, Elsa starts to hear a strange sound from the north calling her. Together with her sister Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, they embark on a new journey beyond their homeland of Arendelle in order to discover the origin of Elsa’s magical powers and save their kingdom.“
