This series has been a must-watch for young adults since July 2023, when its second season initially aired on Amazon Prime Video. A coming-of-age romantic drama series, the creator Jenny Han has delivered a beautiful story about Isabel “Belly” Conklin. She reunites with her mother’s family friend Susannah Fisher, and her two sons Jeremiah and Conrad. A love triangle forms between Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad. The series shows different themes that offer first love. The first heartbreak, and the magic that surrounds that one fateful summer. For those interested, the series recently announced that the show has been renewed for a third season this August, which will contain ten episodes. While the television series does follow the trilogy that Han wrote, there were creative liberties and changes made for certain characters and the cast, such as David Iacono’s character, Cam Cameron.

The writer Jenny Han is an American author who primarily writes young adult and children’s fiction stories. She is best known for her To All The Boys and The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Han was born to Korean-American parents. Later on in her education, she attended Governer’s School for Government and International Studies, to attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Afterward, she received a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from The New School, a private research university in New York City. Han first wrote The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy after her first book in college. The series became a New York Times Best Seller. And now, here is some information on David Iacono! A graduate of Laguardia High School for Music & Art, David pursued the industry to challenge his experience to direct, write, and become more involved in front of the camera as an actor. For those who recognize him in other forms of media, you might have seen him as Eli Briscoe from The Flight Attendant, Eddie from Cinnamon, Bo Orlov from Grand Army, and Faust Aquino from City on a Hill.

We first asked David what it was like to go from Season 1 to Season 2. David answered that it was great. He also mentioned that he wasn’t sure if he would be brought back for the 2nd season. This was because Cam was only in the first book. When David learned he was returning, he was intrigued to see what creative liberties will be done to incorporate Cam in the second season.

We then asked when he found out that he will be in season two. David answered that it was after season one ended. He commented that he learned of this in December 2021 when Han called him and informed him of the news. David wasn’t expecting the call at all, and he lowkey expected the call to be different. He was happy to hear that they want to incorporate Cam’s character arc in season two. If you want to know more about David’s experiences with the series, be sure to watch the entire video for the full interview!
