Tim Burton is a household name in the world of film, but this is his first time diving into television as a director. However, having directed Batman (1989), Edward Scissorhands (1990), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Corpse Bride (2005) and Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016), he’s an excellent choice for this TV series. More about the Addams Family and Wednesday Addams

The Addams Family was created as a cartoon strip by illustrator Charles Addams and first brought to life on screen in a typical sitcom entitled The Addams Family, which aired from 1964 until 1966. Wednesday was played by Lisa Loring in the original version. She was joined by John Astin and Jackie Coogan and Carolyn Jones in the classic comedy series. In 1973, two animated series featuring the unusual family were produced as a follow-up to the 1960s program. From 1998 to 2001, The New Addams Family series was a hit and starred Glenn Taranto and Ellie Harvie. In 2019, we were graced with another animation, The Addams Family, in which Charlize Theron and Snoop Dogg lent their voices. A musical adaptation of it was also produced in 2010 on Broadway and the West End that sort of flew under the radar. Since then, Wednesday has become a fan-favorite character with her unique style and personality. The character has a slight obsession with death and is known for her creepy demeanor.
