what-we-will-miss-about-the-carrie-diaries

The CW has just announced it’s pick-ups for next season and unfortunately The Carrie Diaries is not coming back for a third round. While we’re sad to see it go, all good things must come to an end. Instead of being devastated it’s over, we’re going to look back and talk about some of the things we loved about the show and were happiest to have seen happen (and will definitely miss).

The Fashions:
Carrie Diaries
As the show was set in the 80s, it definitely afforded the wardrobe department the opportunity to play around with different looks…and did they ever. Every week we looked forward to the styles for both men and women…and it provided constant inspiration for us to incorporate into our outfits today. A style standout was definitely the fabulous prom episode.

The Music:

Since the show was set a couple of decades ago, it also provided a fun chance to listen to new…old…music! Some of our favorites included New Order, Melanie, Men At Work, Squeeze and many many more!

The Friendships:
Carrie Diaries
While all the friendships on the show were fun and amazing, by far the standout was Walt and Carrie. They had the amazing ability to provide different perspectives on everything from fashion, to love, to dating, to family, to jobs…and  we could always relate to them. Their most special moments will always stay with us…and we’ll be sure to look back on their friendship as inspiration for our own.

The Romances:
Carrie Diaries
While Carrie and Sebastian broke our hearts and mended them over and over again, it didn’t stop us from rooting for them all the way through. We can’t help but think that if they had ended up together forever (instead of her and Big, as we know came to pass), they would have had the cutest towheaded tots ever!

While we won’t be able to see how this all would have played out, we’re happier than ever we got the opportunity to spend two awesomely full seasons with the gang!
